About

A wise person once said:  Find something you love to do, and do that to the best of your ability because you will never consider it a job. And she was right.

I am a writer, a news anchor, a reporter, and that comes from a love of documenting what I see. Dear Diary was important when I was younger. My perspective may be a little different because I’m informed by the sum of my experiences so far. At least that’s what my friends tell me.

I was born in India, raised in Western Canada, and work in the United States. I have traveled extensively, speak five languages, have lived on my own for decades – but talking to my mother still makes me pull out my hair. Sometimes.

I have worked in television, radio, and print across Canada, New York, Washington, and India. I graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a Masters in Journalism and Media Studies. But my real education comes from taking risks. Fear will keep even the strongest of us from doing what we dream about. I heard that somewhere.

Looking beyond comes easily, I realize now, because I belong to many countries and traditions. And I am grateful every day.
